Yahoo! Mail = Infinite Storage?

Late yesterday, Yahoo! announced that come May, the storage capacity of their email accounts will be upgraded from 1GB to infinity. In other words, all those people who paid for their 2GB accounts instead of simply using Hotmail, Gmail, or opening two Yahoo! accounts can add another line to their chump resume.

Here’s a fun quote from John Kremer, the VP of Yahoo! Mail: “We are watching the trend lines of how people are using e-mail… and they are sending more photos and videos and rich media.

The bad: What’s the point of having infinite storage space if there are bandwidth restrictions and attachment size restrictions? I guess we can’t complain because it’s free.

The good: Now I don’t have to delete all the junk mail that Yahoo! fails to filter out.
