New information about the plot of Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands has been uncovered courtesy of Dtoid. As you’ll recall, this is a new multi-platform game that drops the Elika storyline for the PS2 Sands of Time continuity. No pun intended.
Anyway, The Forgotten Sands’ story takes place between the events of Sands of Time and The Warrior Within and finds the prince visiting his brother with his newly acquired sand powers. Unfortunately, the kingdom is under attack (as it always is) and the prince ends up having to use his powers to make everything right.
Considering the subject matter of The Warrior Within and The Two Thrones, one assumes terrible consequences emerge as a result of the prince’s actions and turn him from charming rapscallion to a brooding emo jerk. With great power comes great responsibility. So says Uncle Ben.
