Internet people:
Bored of this site already? Well, here are some cool people’s blogs to visit. These belong to personal friends, so please be civil.
Tim, Richard, Yumi, Jessica, Danwei, Wendy, Juan, Jon

If you think any of these sites are absolutely horrendous and that I’m a terrible person for including them, please let me know. Everyone makes mistakes from time to time and I will be happy to point out why you’re wrong.
Digg – One of the best places to get intriguing (but not always relevant) news stories. The community votes up the stories they like, so there’s always something worth reading on the front page. If you’re a video game company, you should be asking yourself why people aren’t talking about your game on Digg.
Angry Asian Man – Just a blog about Asian Americans in pop-culture.
The Magic Box – If you’re into Famitsu scans and news on upcoming video games, here’s the place to go.
Superhero Hype! – Pretty much everything you need to know about the next crappy superhero movie hitting theaters near you.
GamePolitics – Curious about video game legislation and the antics of activist Jack Thompson? GP is a blog that keeps you up to date on the legal side of things.
Spamusement – Sadly, this isn’t updated anymore. But the premise is funny cartoons based on email spam subject lines. I blame Gmail’s wonderfully effective spam filters for the death of this site.
Hardcore Gaming 101 – Anytime you need to know in-depth information about a video game or series, this is the site to go. It’s funny, educational, and a marketer’s dream.
Giant Bomb – Another site that’s invaluable for advertisers and marketers looking to draw interested users to their games. Giant Bomb has its share of news and reviews. But what makes this site really valuable is its extensive database of game titles, segmented by themes and concepts.
Gamasutra – News and articles about the games industry. Curious who’s buying out who? Curious what company just fired its CEO? You’ll probably find an article about it on Gamasutra. Just don’t expect to find any of your favorite video game characters in 101 sexual positions.
Forums:
Come and discuss stupid topics with your fellow gamers. I really only frequent two message boards.
Eleet Speek – This is a fighting game forum that’s part of HigherVoltage. I like to play fighting games, but I don’t like to analyze tiers, tournament stats, or character balancing ideas. So I generally only visit the off-topic discussion forums.
Talking Time – Definitely one of the more intelligent gaming forums on the internet, raising the IQ points of the online fanboy demographic significantly by its existence alone. Dimetrically opposed to GameFAQs’ wild-west boards. I don’t post often, but I do love the people and their snark.
Amazing sites clipboard:
Extraordinary sites… I will find you all.
Jesh de Rox – Artistic wedding photography site with a unique intro, galleries, and emotional music. The layout changes to match your current mood.
Red Interactive Agency – Experimental chat site made by a creative advertising and marketing firm. You can use the arrow keys to move your character and interact with everybody else who’s connected. Flying is fun too.
Yugop – Strange experimental studies involving shapes and figures. I’m not quite sure what to make of this site other than to label it ‘strange but cool.’ The really neat stuff is in the archive section.
2 Advanced – Gotta love the flash. Despite the chirping sound effects and constant animations, the site never becomes excessive or annoying. In fact, the background music and interesting transitions make this site truly an experience.
TurboChef – Does this site make you want to buy this revolutionary oven? Sort of. Is the site totally sweet? Totally yeah!
Homeostatic – Part design-portfolio, part adventure game, with a dash of pretty, and a pinch of creepy. You also can’t go wrong by including a naked woman on a bed. Resist the urge to click away from the introductory questions and enjoy the show.
Infinity Art – There’s a lot of cool little features to play around with on the site… as long as you can stomach the ever-present feeling that Sadako’s going to jump out of the computer monitor and murder you.
HBO Voyeur – Yep. You’re looking into a building with x-ray vision like the emo, stalker Superman from Superman Returns. Embedded videos have never been so fun.
We Feel Fine – An applet that takes the feelings expressed online by bloggers and mashes them up in six creative ways. There’s also an option to segment by demographics, location, and emotion. Updated hourly.
