According to the Civony website, Civony is now known as Evony: Age One – Genesis. No word on whether this name change is the result of legal action or an early move to avoid litigation. Whatever the case may be, it’s nice to see this game (which started off with so much controversy) taking steps to become legit.
As I said in an earlier post, the game’s not too bad. The multiple ways to spend incremental dollars for in-game bonuses can be a little obnoxious at times, but it’s a decent strategy game for the most part. In addition to a name change, the team is continuing to work on server stability issues. They’ve also announced additional updates down the road in the form of Age Two – Battlefield. They’re asking for feedback from their users to be posted in the forums. Queen, please!
