About The Author

My job entails working with developers, publishers, and agencies to develop marketing strategies focused around user acquisition, branding, and buzz generation. Also, I am an avid gamer and have been cluttering the Internet with my personal opinions about the industry for over 10 years.

About The Site

This site has gone through so many changes that it’s hard to keep track. In fact, the 10-year anniversary was back in August 2009!

Essentially, it has alternated between a personal art portfolio and an entertainment blog. The site’s name is basically an homage to Jared Diamond’s book Guns, Germs, and Steel, which is all about the history of the world as seen through the lens of resource scarcity. Similarly, globalization has resulted in the proliferation and migration of movies, TV shows, and video games.

About My Views

The comments on this blog do not reflect the views of my friends, acquaintances, employer, advertising partners, or affiliated organizations. If you think they do and that there’s some kind of hivemind conspiracy, you obviously have no idea how the Internet works. This is first and foremost a personal journal and all comments and critiques are matters of personal opinion, protected by the first amendment.

About Citations

I try to cite all my sources and provide links back to the original authors. But as I do overlook things from time to time. So if you’re an author who has noticed something of the sort, do feel free to contact me and I will do my best to correct the article.

About The Ads

The ads you see on the blog are contextually targeted to the content on the page. I do not hand-pick them or screen them for relevance. If you find any ads disturbing or offensive, please contact me via the online form and I will do my best to filter them out.
